Magic Potion
|
My daughter is now 20 and I've been feeling sooooo all alone raising
her.
I remember one evening I was going to meet with some clients. (we
have a home base business). We had had a busy day and were
frantically trying to get the house cleaned up while I was putting
the finishing touches on the project. I was racing back and forth
between my office out in our backyard and back to the house. At the
last min. I ran out to the office to check on things and when I came
back into the house thru the back door I was horrified. It looked
like someone had had a wrestling match with the flour, sugar, and I
don't know what. The floor was covered the counters were covered, as
I walked into the dinning room the table was covered the plants were
covered then I saw the living room...every surface was covered with a
flour, sugar, salt, soy sauce concoction. It was everywhere on every
surface on everything! I was yelling what is going on! She looked
at me with a smile on her face and a bowl of goo in her arms and
said. "I've made a magic potion, special for your clients it will
make them happy and love your work!" Of course what does a mother
say to such a precious face. I had to quickly explain that it was a
very nice thought but that we needed to vacuum it all up as fast as
possible before the clients got there, that magic spells worked best
when they were invisible. I was brushing everything to the floor
while she was vacuuming it up. I ran out to the office one last time
and when I came back in. There she was sitting in the middle of the
powdery floor, no shirt on with the vacuum stuck to one boobie,
saying look mom I think its working. She has inverted nipples and
was trying to get them to come out. At that point all I could do was
laugh. I'm not sure what my clients thought of my home, or my
hastily dressed 10yr old daughter. Hopefully they were too
preoccupied with my art work. Never a dull moment around here!
