Thanks for the great suggestion!
|
I just want to say THANK YOU to the person that wrote in about being a medical transcriptionist. You don't "lack compassion" at all, as that doctor said. If you lacked compassion, you wouldn't be offering such a great suggestion to other people who have the same issues that you have. Perhaps it is the "good doctor" who lacked compassion when saying that to you. Compassion is a relative term. Everyone in the medical field seems to think they have it! Not always the case.
I have a daughter who is bipolar and exhibits very little tolerance in environments where multiple people are working. She often cannot handle the stress of the classroom, the personalities, the smells, even a ticking clock. And yes, she sometimes appears to lack compassion. She may have a little Borderline Personality Disorder too. (A lot of neurological issues seem to share some characteristics, so I think the jury is still out on exactly what her issues are.) Anyway, she's having a terrible time coping in high school, and we'll be trying soon to help her down a career path and into college. Maybe this could work for her. So THANK YOU for the great suggestion and GOOD LUCK to you.
Thanks again!
